PATTERN INFO

‘Along the Shoreline’ is inspired by my beach walks along the sandy colored shoreline. It’s a charming triangular neck scarf or shawlette with diagonal eyelet rows, a garter border, and neatly finished edges. This neck scarf is pretty on both sides and can be made with only a single skein.

You can also create all kinds of variations on the design by changing the size and choosing different yarns, such as a fingering, a thin DK, or, for a summer version, a cotton, linen, or silk.

YARN

Gigglinggecko Yarns (100% SW merino, 100 gr-400yds/366m), 1 skein.
Sample yardage (284yds/260m) in color Vanilla.

Or any fingering weight yarn: approx. 284-312yds (260-285m) total.

MATERIALS

24” (minimum 60 cm) circular or straight needles.
US 4 (3.5 mm)
Stitch markers, tapestry needle.

GAUGE - BLOCKED 4" (10 CM)

In lace pattern, 25 stitches x 36 rows.
Gauge is not crucial at all, but will affect final size and yardage.

FINISHED DIMENSIONS

Approx. 54" (137 cm) wingspan along top edge 10” (25 cm) width.

ADJUSTMENTS

Adjustments are provided in the pattern.
Different sizes and fits can also be achieved by altering yarn weight and/or needle size(s).
