PATTERN INFO
An asymmetrical triangular shawl, ‘Conchas’ brings together multiple evocations of seashore motifs. The name of this design means ‘shells’ in Spanish, and the gentle curves of interlaced cables suggest the rounded shapes of sea creatures’ mobile homes.
Dotted lines on the shawl’s background are like the faint markings that small wavelets leave in the sand as they recede. And the soft, lustrous worsted-weight yarn is dyed in the subtle ‘Pearl’ colorway. As always, edges are carefully finished to give the accessory a polished look.
This pattern is not only fully written out with stitch counts, it also includes a chart for the cable/lace repeats and a video tutorial: how to knit cables without a cable needle.
