Pattern info
This cowl is named for Esthwaite Water, a sapphire lake set in the verdant hills of northern England. From this region comes the Baa Ram Ewe yarn that inspired the design: a heathered fiber that is at the same time sturdy and soft to the touch.
Reminiscent of ancient Celtic intertwined motifs, the cables that vary in scale and line provide texture and graphic interest. Yet this intricate effect is surprisingly quick and easy to produce.
Esthwaite is a lively, fun knit perfect for gift-giving, because men and women alike would be pleased to wear this timeless cowl. And a coordinating hat pattern is available, too!
