Pattern info 

An instant classic, 'Wavy Stream' is a unisex cabled hat that stretches to fit any head and is shown here in a soft, chained yarn by Woolfolk.

A honeycomb pattern lends lively interest and texture to the fabric, and options abound for customization: single brim or double brim, furry or yarn pompom, or no pompom.

An ideal project for holiday gift knitting--and it's easy to make more than one!

Yarn 

Woolfolk Får (100% Ovis 21 Ultimate Merino Wool, 50 gr-142yds/130m).
Samples yardage, 197 yds/180m in color 18 (pale pink) **or** 05 (black).
Or any DK weight yarn: approx. 186-219 yds (170-200m).

Materials 

16” (40 cm) circular needle or 32” (80 cm) for magic loop and/or dpns.
US 6 (4.0 mm)
US 7 (4.5 mm)
Stitch markers, cable needle, tapestry needle.

Gauge - blocked 4" (10 cm) 

In cable pattern, 24 stitches x 33 rounds.

Finished dimensions 

Unstretched 18.5” (47 cm), fits approx. 19.7-22.5” (50-57 cm) circumference x 8.32“ (21 cm) height, from crown to CO.

Sample shown: double-layer brim 3.5” (9 cm, unfolded), body 4.7” (12 cm), crown 2.4” (6 cm).

Adjustments
