PATTERN INFO
'Above the Sea' describes the terrace where i was sitting while making this scarf. It also refers to the stitch pattern that resembles ripples viewed from higher up, in an airplane flying over the ocean.
In addition, the gorgeous yarn used in the sample came from my kind and funny Canadian friend across the sea, who had test-knitted my 'Dohne' shawl on which this rectangular scarf is based. The design makes the most of a tonal colorway but looks intricate enough to shine in a solid-colored version as well.
Above the sea has a rectangular shape with built-in I-cord edges and is worked flat from side to side. The scarf is very versatile and wearable in countless different ways. The pattern is fully written with stitch counts and is also charted.
